What Is?

Also known as “ground source heating and cooling” or “Earth Energy”, GeoExchange is the exchange of heat between the ground and a building. In most situations it is the most efficient way to heat and/or cool a building.

General Information

As noted by Essential Innovations

Geo-exchange, also known as geo-thermal heating and cooling systems are known to the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective space conditioning systems available, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. EPA found that Geo-Exchange systems can reduce energy consumption--and corresponding emissions--by over 40% compared to air source heat pumps and by over 70% compared to electric resistance heating with standard air-conditioning equipment.
